Meet our Founder

Staccatos Violin School
Violin Tutor - Charlie Jeremy

From a very young age Charlie has excelled in the science and application of music. Charlie's youthful journey with music started in the 1990's when he was appointed Head Chorister at Llandaff Cathedral, Cardiff. It was during this time that he won the top music scholarship to Cheltenham College, where he became the leader of the Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra. Charlie also led his own String Quartet and sang in the Chapel Choir. Later achievements led him to be a part of the City of Cardiff Symphony Orchestra. He has also been a Bass in the Cardiff Bach Choir for over a decade.


Advanced Qualification 



Charlie holds a Bachelors Degree from Cardiff University and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Open University. Other relevant qualifications include; Grade 8 violin, Grade 8 singing and Grade 6 piano. In addition to this he holds Grade 5 music theory.

The Staccatos Violin School based in Roath, Cardiff, is a private tuition school which enables those who desire to progress in the violin, to achieve their full potential whilst at the same time enjoying music. Our founder Charlie Jeremy is a natural leader and has developed his teaching skills over many years. An essential part of his teaching toolkit is his ability to connect with students in a friendly and approachable manner. Here at Staccatos we like our students to be able to enjoy music and also to enjoy the beauty of playing the violin. We always ensure that our students are taught in a relaxed and friendly environment so that they are able to learn and progress to the best of their ability.
